After an unforgettable journey, we’ve made the difficult decision to sunset the Bonfire platform on May 2, 2025. If you’re a creator on Bonfire, please read on for everything you need to know about exporting your content and data, and smoothly transitioning off of Bonfire.

This isn’t a decision we made lightly. When we started Bonfire, our mission was simple: to help creators unlock the creative and economic potential of their communities. For the past four years, we’ve had the pleasure of watching creators bring that vision to life — again and again — in ways we never could have imagined. We’re incredibly proud of what we built together, and are eternally grateful to the creators who believed in us and made it all possible.

Together, we achieved some incredible things:

• Partnered with Daniel Allan to launch Glass House, one of the first generative, multi-modal EP releases.
• Powered ODESZA’s All-Access Pass redemption site, proving that utility for digital assets is not just possible, but meaningful.
• Ran the Somefund artist grant contest, distributing $250K directly to artists.
• Launched a season pass membership for Fvckrender’s first physical gallery space in Montreal
• Helped the Ethereum Documentary raise over $200K, demonstrating the potential of community-driven business and distribution models for creative projects.
• … and much, much more.

You’ll retain full access to your Bonfire site and dashboard until May 2nd, 2025. After that, the platform will go offline and you’ll lose access to:

• Your creator dashboard
• Your Bonfire site
• Any Member data not already exported (please export all your data before May 2nd)

To make your transition as smooth as possible, please complete the following steps before May 2nd:

1. Export Member Data – you can export your member data and email list via the Members tab in your dashboard
2. Save Collection Addresses – you can copy/paste the contract addresses for your Bonfire passes & collections (both native and imported) from the Collections tab in your dashboard, letting you easily port your onchain community to new platforms
3. Download Livestream Recordings – past livestream recordings can be downloaded via the Livestream > Recorded tab in your dashboard
4. Disconnect Custom Domain – if you’re using a custom domain, you can disconnect it from the Settings > Custom Domain page in your dashboard, enabling you to migrate it to another website builder or hosting service (e.g. Squarespace, Wix, Carrd)
5. Notify Fans - let your community know about any changes they should expect regarding their membership or pass benefits.

While this chapter is coming to a close, we remain steadfast in our belief that creators deserve better.
